Dry Needling in Coral Springs for Tight Muscles and Recovery
Golfers, tennis and pickleball players, runners and anyone with a desk job know the feeling of a muscle knot that will not let go. Dr. Jonathan M. Fields, DAOM, is certified in dry needling and trigger point injections and treats active adults from Coral Springs, Parkland, Margate, Tamarac and Coconut Creek.
What dry needling does
Trigger points are tight, tender bands inside an overworked muscle. A fine needle is guided into that band, which often causes a quick twitch, and the muscle usually softens afterward.
A sports medicine blend
Dr. Fields mixes dry needling with orthopedic style acupuncture to check how a joint and the tissue around it are moving, and with traditional Chinese medicine to look at the whole person. That way the session covers the local knot and the larger pattern behind it.
After your session
Expect some soreness for a day or so, a lot like the day after a hard workout. You will get simple aftercare tips before you leave.
